What Dreams May Come: Part 5 (The Battle)

I saw myself in a vast and burning desert, riding on a sturdy chariot pulled by a brawny horse. Behind me, was a league of soldiers and men ready to strike their swords and shed blood. And then I shouted and screamed my command – the command that ignited the war of Mesopotamia. The fast and furious attack started and accelerated as my men and I moved towards the troops of my fellow kings – King Sargon, Hammurabi, Sumuabum, and the other Assyrians, Akkadians, Sumerians and Babylonians. Then came a bloody battle that marked a chapter of the world’s history.

This dream happened during the time when I was studying my World History. It really seemed comical yet fascinating that due to too much reading, I saw myself in my dream as part of the history I was reading about. Well, dreams may help us reach our goal of gaining self-confidence through situations that might enhance our self-esteem, although it is just a fantasy or just an illusion. And dreams may keep the fire within us blazing by helping us surviving in the midst of our anxieties and worries in life.
